Palm provides UHC with handheld tech

Mobile computing platform developer Palm has been selected to provide its Palm TX handheld computing devices, LifeDrive mobile managers, and Treo smartphones to the University Hospital of Cincinnati (UHC), according to the Sunnyvale, CA-based firm.

Physicians at the institution will have access to patient records, lab results, x-ray reports, vital signs, and e-mail from the devices via the UHC wireless network, the company said.
