Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys has closed its acquisition of Southfield, MI-based laboratory information systems (LIS) developer Sysware Healthcare Systems.
The firms have had a strategic business relationship since 2004, with Boca Raton, FL-based Eclipsys marketing Sysware's PowerLAB product under its Sunrise Laboratory brand.
The acquisition of Sysware's sister company in Baroda, India, which provides development services related to the laboratory software, will close pending final compliance with Indian regulatory requirements, which is expected to occur soon, according to Eclipsys. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
