AthenaHealth debuts EMR

Revenue and practice management software developer AthenaHealth has released an electronic medical record (EMR) application, athenaClinicals.

The product converts incoming faxes to digital documents and routes them to staff, the Watertown, MA-based firm said. It also provides continually updated payor-specific coding rules and evaluation and management (E&M) coding reviews, Web-based revenue-cycle management, and a rules-engine that includes drug formulary and interactions data.
