Radiation oncology information technology developer Impac Medical Systems, a division of Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta, said that its electronic medical record (EMR) software is in use at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center proton therapy center in Houston.
A multivendor team collaborated with the company to meet M. D. Anderson's specific clinical requirements for the EMR at the proton therapy center, according to Mountain View, CA-based Impac. The team included Hitachi Medical Systems America of Twinsburg, OH, and Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA.
