Speech recognition and digital dictation vendor 4voice will bring its flagship voice4medicine system to the exhibit halls of McCormick Place.
voice4medicine provides digital speech processing with individually specialized vocabulary for physicians and medically specialized staff. Frequently used text can be stored and administrated as text modules with embedded parameter lists. These templates, including scanned signatures or graphs, can be managed by speech and added to active documents, 4voice said.
In addition, the Unterfohring, Germany-based developer will showcase its digital dictation products, local speech recognition, and speech control applications for workstations, as well as server-based speech processing tools.
The firm said that its products are based on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech engine (Nuance Communications, Burlington, MA). 4voice noted that its products are currently available in German but can be easily adapted to other languages.
The company said it has certified application programming interfaces (APIs) to the healthcare information system (HIS) of Siemens Medical Solutions and other well-established European systems, and the company can easily develop an API for other HIS products.
