Radiology informatics developer Commissure will highlight its RadWhere Suite communications product and introduce its RadCube Suite data mining tool and RadWhere Workflow Orchestrator application.
RadWhere Suite is a real-time speech-reporting component that uses patented natural language processing (NLP) algorithms to speed the reporting process and reduce how much the radiologist must say to complete a report, according to Commisure of New York City. RadWhere is also capable of analyzing radiology reports and coding them with the proper ICD-9 codes, eliminating the need for manual coding, the company said. An enterprise teleradiology component is available that connects to multiple sites and provides a single workstation for accessing studies.
RadWhere Workflow Orchestrator is a new component to the firm's RadWhere Suite, and enables radiology departments to connect together information from multiple PACS, RIS, 3D, advanced visualization, and teleradiology applications into a central worklist. The application, developed with a Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework, is able to incorporate any combination of legacy and Web-based systems, while controlling workflow with bidirectional communication.
RadCube Suite mines critical data to reveal any number of trends within radiology departments, the company said. Its components include business productivity, quality assurance, utilization management, customer relationship management (CRM), educational effects, clinical research, throughput, critical communication management, financial analysis, trending and forecasting, and benchmarking, according to Commissure.
The application provides metrics on the productivity of critical resources, including individual radiologists, technologists, modalities, PACS, RIS, billing, and other reporting systems. It offers quality assurance metrics, including positivity and recommendation rates for each radiologist and modality. It also reports on trends in referring physician ordering practices, Commissure said.
