Healthcare software developer Vocada will feature the successor to its VoiceLink critical test result management (CTRM) system, Veriphy, in its exhibit at this year's RSNA conference.
Veriphy is a complete end-to-end CTRM system for hospital diagnostic departments, including radiology, laboratories, and cardiology, according to Dallas-based Vocada.
The Web-accessible application features policy development and implementation, including building of the physician database. This process ensures that rules and policies are consistent and appropriate, and eliminates potential barriers to implementation, according to the firm.
Veriphy provides communications technology that verifies message receipt and automates documentation and rule compliance; it is a hosted technology that requires no new investment in hardware or software, Vocada said. To report a critical patient finding to an ordering clinician, the reporting clinician calls an assigned Veriphy phone number once, speaks the report, and the system does the rest, according to Vocada.
One of the software's new features is a downloadable desktop application that enables a reporting clinician to create and send a voice message about a test result directly from their computer to the ordering clinician. The system automatically tracks and monitors the communication and verifies receipt of the message.
The system also offers live 24/7 monitoring of all critical test result messages to ensure verified receipt of every critical-result message when predetermined escalation rules come into play; real-time reporting that enables benchmarking and performance evaluation; and professional services to help implement best practices, the company said.
The automated system ensures compliance with all legal and professional reporting standards, Vocada said. To use Veriphy as a standalone application or embedded within other systems, a hospital pays a one-time setup fee and a monthly access fee.
