3M Health Information Systems and information technology (IT) application developer Quovadx have joined forces in a healthcare IT initiative.
The companies said that they plan to incorporate components of the 3M Healthcare Data Dictionary as an added feature of Quovadx's Cloverleaf integration services. The dictionary's mapping capabilities allow healthcare enterprise data to be exchangeable and interoperable via standard codes, 3M said.
The combined offering will allow customers to translate existing codes into HIPAA-compliant billing and clinical information standards, according to Greenwood, CO-based Quovadx.
