Image management firm Emageon of Birmingham, AL, has signed a reseller agreement with Chicago-based healthcare IT developer Allscripts.
Under the terms of the deal, Emageon will offer Allscripts' TouchWorks electronic heath record (EHR) and practice management systems to its 585 healthcare and hospital customers. Emageon will offer implementation and support services as well.
Going forward, the two firms plan to integrate their products so that physicians who use TouchWorks in ambulatory offices can view images taken in hospitals with Emageon's Enterprise Visual Medical System product platform, which includes the RadSuite and HeartSuite product lines, according to the two companies.
