Computer pen display developer Wacom Technology has introduced two interactive pen displays targeted at healthcare professionals.
Designed for radiology, electronic medical record, and other applications, DTU-2231 features a 21.5-inch widescreen LCD with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. It allows radiologists, physicians, and other medical professionals to perform contouring directly on CT slices, take measurements of complex objects, highlight points of interest, and make handwritten comments on an image using its pen-on-screen input capability, according to the Vancouver, WA-based firm.
The 15.6-inch DTU-1631 is a pen display directed toward medical administrative professionals and offers a resolution of 1366 x 768. DTU-2231 has a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,899, while DTU-1631 has an MSRP of $1,249. Both displays will be available in the spring of 2010, Wacom said.
