RIS and PACS vendor Brit Systems has added a RIS feature to its browser-based Roentgen Works radiology information technology.
Roentgen Works RIS is designed to add electronic medical record (EMR) functionality to radiology patient information management, including scheduling and computerized physician order entry (CPOE).
The software can also integrate with existing systems, such as PACS and EMRs, and/or Health Information Exchange (HIE) National Health Information Network (NHIN) Gateways. The feature's debut came this week at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual meeting in Orlando, FL.
