Speech recognition firm M*Modal has inked a partnership with healthcare software and services company iMedX.
Under the deal, M*Modal's Speech Understanding technology has been integrated within iMedX's TurboFlow Internet-based platform for transcriptionists.
In other M*Modal news, the company is demonstrating a new application of its Speech Understanding suite at this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Orlando, FL. Designed specifically to be integrated into electronic health record (EHR) systems, the application enables physicians to create narrative documentation from directly within the EHR, M*Modal said.
It's being shown at HIMSS integrated into MedQuist's SpeechQ product line under the branding of SpeechQ Direct.
