Carestream Health said that version 11 of its Vue RIS has been certified as an electronic health record (EHR) module by a U.S. Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB).
The 2011/2012 certification by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) indicates that Vue RIS meets stage 1 of the U.S. government's meaningful use measures to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
Vue RIS version 11 was certified (certification ID CC-1112-747350-1) as an EHR module on October 26 under the hospital domain. Additional software used in testing included SpeechMagic 6, Carestream said.
In addition, the system was also certified (certification ID CC-1112-747350-2) as an EHR module under the eligible provider domain.
