Radiology publisher Amirsys has released several new products, including version 5.5 of its STATdx diagnostic decision-support system for both clinical content and access.
Version 5.5's enhancements focus on musculoskeletal, abdominal, and obstetric imaging, and it offers new features designed to improve the user experience, including iPad and tablet access, and customizable user preferences for search functionality.
The point-of-care diagnostic decision-support system for imaging is also designed to assist imaging-intensive specialties such as orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, women's health centers, and emergency departments.
The company is also expanding its RADPrimer learning portal for radiology residents with the release of version 1.9. The new version adds new anatomy curriculum, precall assessment, and case challenge assessment.
RADPrimer features a module to help residents master content in all 11 core disciplines of radiology, self-assess with unknown case challenges, deep-dive study into curriculum, and track individual progress, the firm said.
Amirsys is also developing Amirsys Wizard, a multimedia, multitouch optional technology to bridge print and digital media for iPad, tablet, PC, or Mac use. The first Wizard will be an optional digital companion to the new Osborn's Brain reference book by Dr. Anne Osborn.
