PACS vendor IMCO Technologies announced it has released its new ED Discrepancy module.
IMCO-Stat ED Discrepancy is designed to streamline the workflow process of emergency department (ED) physicians sending critical patient diagnoses to radiologists, the firm said. The system notifies radiologists of the emergency department information and allows the radiologists to agree or disagree with the diagnoses based on exam findings.
If there is a discrepancy, the system automatically alerts the ED physician for immediate attention and creates an audit trail of all communications.
