Radiology benefits management firm HealthHelp has debuted Rank and Suggest Alternatives (RASA), a new service that combines computer-based clinical decision support (CDS) with diagnostic imaging benefits management.
With RASA, ordering physicians will be given another option when an online request for imaging does not meet evidence-based guidelines, according to HealthHelp. The physician will be able to choose from alternatives that are suggested and ranked by CDS.
A free enhancement to HealthHelp's existing product suite, RASA will be available for CT, CT angiography, MRI, MR angiography, PET, and cardiac nuclear medicine within the company's diagnostic imaging benefits management program.
