Information technology security assessment firm Redspin has announced an expansion of its services to hospitals and medical group practices that have multiple facilities.
Redspin currently provides HIPAA security risk assessment, infrastructure penetration testing, and Web application security assessment.
New services being offered under a "meaningful healthcare IT security initiative" umbrella include the following:

- Advanced social media engineering testing and information security awareness training for healthcare workers
- Business associate risk analysis to help ensure compliance by business associates with the HIPAA security rule
- Remediation tracking and advanced security analytics
