Healthcare information systems firm McKesson has purchased radiology workflow software developer PeerVue.
McKesson said the acquisition extends its imaging and information management systems with workflow capabilities such as critical results management, peer review, and emergency department communication for multiple disciplines.
PeerVue's Qualitative Intelligence and Communication Systems (QICS) is a Web-based technology platform that is designed to work concurrently with PACS and RIS to address workflow and communication gaps, according to PeerVue. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
