The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) announced that it has acquired the mHealth Summit, an annual conference about health and mobile IT, from the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
HIMSS' acquisition of the mHealth Summit augments its current activities involving mobile healthcare, the organization said. These include an association and a website, mHIMSS.org, dedicated to creating and distributing information and educational products that are driving the mobile and wireless healthcare industries.
The 2012 mHealth Summit will be held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in the Washington, DC, metro area from December 3-5.
