RIS/PACS vendor Novarad has introduced automated radiation dose reporting through its NovaRIS.
NovaDose calculates cumulative patient, exam, and modality ionizing radiation dose, Novarad said. The company introduced radiation dose monitoring integrated with its PACS last year. The automated reporting capability through NovaRIS makes it easier for providers to better manage patient treatments and mitigate risks, the company said.
The radiation dose monitoring engine, DoseMonitor, was developed by PHS Technologies Group.
