Informatics and digital x-ray firm Viztek is highlighting its new Exa electronic health record (EHR) software at this week's AHRA annual meeting in Washington, DC.
Exa is designed to support information exchange for radiologists and technologists, while improving workflow via its design and synchronization with PACS, according to the vendor. With Eva, physicians don't have to log in to a separate PACS or toggle between windows to open PACS, Viztek said. It also allows radiologists to view full patient charts from the EHR.
The company also pointed to Eva's order-based intelligent linking tool, which obviates the need for radiologists to conduct manual searches of outside comparison images. Exa is accessible via smartphones and tablets and meets the U.S. government's meaningful use requirements for information exchange, according to Viztek.
It can also be hosted in the cloud in noncritical access settings to reduce local IT needs, Viztek said.
