The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) is collaborating with National Decision Support Company (NDSC) to integrate imaging appropriate use criteria into NDSC's clinical decision-support software, CareSelect Imaging.
Imaging providers will have access to NCCN guidelines incorporated directly into electronic healthcare workflow. Adapted from the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology, NCCN appropriate use criteria for imaging supports clinical decision-making in patients with cancer by outlining all imaging procedures recommended in the guidelines, including radiographs, CT, MRI, PET, SPECT, and ultrasound.
The criteria are expected to be integrated into CareSelect Imaging beginning in the third quarter of this year.
