Healthcare IT firm MedInformatix has installed its RIS V7.6 software at an outpatient radiology practice in New Mexico.
X-Ray Associates of New Mexico is the largest outpatient radiology provider in the state, MedInformatix said. The RIS package replaces the practice's longtime Sectra RIS, which that company discontinued in 2013, according to MedInformatix.
During the conversion process, MedInformatix discovered a data disparity as the information entered the new RIS from the practice's PACS. It fixed this disparity and, as a result, plans to explore collaboration opportunities with Sectra going forward, the company said.
