PACS vendor Sectra has been named the preferred vendor for a large enterprise imaging IT system in New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
Sectra has signed a proof-of-concept agreement with NSW Health and hopes to provide 11 NSW Health organizations -- 10 local health districts and NSW Pathology -- with a consolidated imaging IT infrastructure. After the proof-of-concept phase has been completed, NSW Health plans to sign a 10-year contract with Sectra for implementation and ongoing support of the RIS/PACS package, according to Sectra.
Sectra noted that the potential deal includes substantial deliveries from subcontractors and is subject to successful finalization of contract terms and conditions.
