Bayer has launched a cloud-hosted marketplace called Calantic Digital Solutions to facilitate access to digital and artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools for medical imaging applications.
Calantic is a vendor-neutral platform that contains apps for functions including triaging critical patient findings for expedited review, improving lesion detection, automating tasks and measurements, and enhancing radiology workflow, according to the vendor.
Organized by body region and diagnostic procedure, Calantic Digital Solutions is currently focused on thoracic and neurological diseases, including pulmonary nodule detection and triage of suspected intracerebral hemorrhage and large-vessel occlusions.
Bayer said it will add additional disease-specific application packages in the future. The company will provide services around installation, configuration, and training for the platform and its applications.
Calantic will be launched first in the U.S. and several European countries. More regions will follow upon receipt, as applicable, of local regulatory approvals as applicable, according to Bayer.
