VitalWorks completes medical division sale, changes name

Radiology image and information management systems provider VitalWorks has completed the sale of its medical division to Cerner for $100 million in cash, freeing up the company to focus on the radiology market.

The Boston-based firm has also changed its name to Amicas, effective immediately. The company's NASDAQ stock trading symbol is now AMCS.
