InSiteOne launches recovery product at HIMSS

Archiving services provider InSiteOne has launched a new data-recovery product at this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Dallas.

InDex Recovery Plus is designed for disaster recovery with continuous real-time protection of important clinical data, according to the Wallingford, CT, company.  The product is being offered at a fixed monthly fee based on data volume and customer needs. It includes data backup and restoration, security management, help-desk support, hardware and software maintenance, and technology upgrades.

In other news, InSiteOne has installed its InDex software at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center in Casa Grande, AZ. The facility is a 200-bed hospital that experienced double-digit growth in 2004, and was looking for an expandable archiving product.

Finally, InSiteOne announced the opening of a new data center in Phoenix for nearline and backup storage of medical images and related files. The facility replaces InSiteOne's original Phoenix center, and complements the company's mirrored data center in Wallingford for secure, redundant offsite file storage, according to the firm.
