RIS/PACS developer DR Systems has signed a contract worth more than $5 million for installation and maintenance of a PACS at the 764-bed Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL, according to the San Diego-based company.
Under the five-year agreement, DR Systems will provide a complete PACS, including enhancements such as a single sign-on capability, a comprehensive disaster recovery system, voice recognition, digital dictation, transcription, automated report distribution over the Web, and document scanning, the company said. The PACS will auto-launch from Halifax's existing Meditech hospital information system (HIS) and RIS.
