Evolved slashes loss, increases sales in Q1

Canadian RIS/PACS developer Evolved Digital Systems reported an uptick in sales and a decrease in losses for its fiscal 2005 first quarter (end-March 31).

For the period, the Laval, Quebec-based company posted revenues of $4.4 million Canadian ($3.5 million U.S.), an 8% increase compared with the $4.1 million ($3.2 million) in revenues declared for the first quarter of fiscal 2004.

Net loss for the quarter was $700,000 ($553,000), a sharp turnaround for the firm when compared with the $5.6 million ($4.4 million) net loss booked for the same period last year.
