EMC unveils new Centera version

Storage firm EMC has added a four-node version to its Centera family of content-addressed storage systems.

The four-node version includes the same content and management features as all Centera systems, but with a capacity and price point targeted at midsize enterprises, according to the Hopkinton, MA-based firm. Available from EMC and its partners this month, the four-node Centera configuration offers 2.2 terabytes of usable capacity at a 35% lower base list price than the previous Centera entry point, EMC said.
