Swedish imaging informatics and digital mammography developer Sectra reported fiscal 2004 net sales of 455.9 million Swedish kronor ($62.6 million U.S.), a downturn when compared with net sales of 495.3 million kronor ($68 million) in fiscal 2003, according to the firm.
For the fiscal year (end-April 30) the Linköping-based vendor said it had net earnings of 54.2 million kronor ($7.4 million), a robust increase compared with net earnings of 21 million kronor ($2.9 million) in fiscal 2003.
The firm said its lower sales were due in part to lower-than-expected sales in its secure-communications systems business. In its medical systems unit, the drop resulted from fewer hospital digitization projects in the company's core Scandinavian market, as well as lower prices for PACS installations.
