Mercury Computer Systems of Chelmsford, MA, introduced a PACS software package for advanced volume rendering and 3D visualization at this week's Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) meeting in Orlando, FL.
The Mercury ExamineRT Server/Thin Client package provides centralized, scalable, clustered server architecture within existing PACS networks, allowing full volume rendering and 3D workstation capabilities anywhere within a healthcare facility. All medical image data processing and visualization is performed on the server, and the output is streamed to the thin client through standard network connection, according to the company.
Mercury ExamineRT Server/Thin Client joins the firm's line of 3D imaging and visualization offerings, which include the ExamineRT workstation, VisageRT Volume Rendering Plug-In, and 3D-enabled digital mammography.
