Eastman Kodak Health Group showcased upgrades to its CR system for radiation oncology and displayed image management and archiving products at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) meeting this week in Seattle.
The Rochester, NY-based firm announced fall 2005 availability for its radiation oncology beam dosimetry package that will allow physicists to use its 2000RT CR Plus to perform a range of beam and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) quality assurance procedures.
The 2000RT CR Plus has also undergone a significant software upgrade with DICOM RT support, importation of treatment planning system digitally reconstructed radiograph images, remote annotation, work list creation and search capabilities, enhanced security, and patient image output support features added to the latest iteration.
Kodak also showed its Carestream information management products that enable oncology treatment centers to store and manage patient information, treatment plans, and images captured by different systems from a central database. Users can elect to store and archive information onsite or utilize a Kodak-hosted information management solution, according to the vendor.
