PACS firm Neurostar Solutions of Atlanta has signed a contract to install its Virtual Radiology Network at Piedmont Medical Center, also of Atlanta.
The agreement calls for Neurostar to set up VRN as uninterruptible enterprise-wide PACS that would enable Piedmont to continue operating if its primary PACS went down. The failover to VRN in the event of an outage in the primary PACS would be automatic and would be virtually imperceptible to users, according to Neurostar.
