Multimodality vendor GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has signed its first contract to install a Centricity Enterprise RIS/PACS system in Portugal.
The system will be installed at Grupo Melo, the largest private healthcare group in the country, according to GE. The system will connect two of the group's hospitals: CUF Infante Santo and CUF Descobertas, with one centralized database. The deal is valued at $1.6 million and includes a five-year service contract.
