Image management firm Emageon reported revenues for its 2005 fiscal third quarter (end-September 30) of $19.6 million, a 90% increase compared with the $10.3 million in revenues booked for the third quarter of 2004.
The Birmingham, AL-based company recorded net income for the fiscal period of $1.8 million, a robust turnaround when compared with the net loss it reported for the fiscal 2004 third quarter of $4.5 million.
Revenue for the first nine months of fiscal 2005 was $49.5 million, an increase of 68% compared with revenue of $29.6 million for the same period in 2004. For the first three quarters combined, the firm has shown a net loss of $1.1 million, a sharp improvement over the net loss of $8.3 million posted in its first three quarters of fiscal 2004.
