Kodak will be emphasizing its CareStream Information Management Solutions service this year.
Employing Kodak's VIParchive storage management software platform, the services offer automated clinical information life cycle management for data from clinical and nonclinical applications, according to the Rochester, NY-based vendor. This data can be stored across multivendor platforms in one or more locations across a healthcare enterprise or regional community, Kodak said. Customizable, rules-based storage plans provide automation.
Information Management Solutions includes Kodak's Enterprise Information Management (EIM), Hosted Information Management (HIM), and Regional Information Management (RIM). EIM allows healthcare organizations to consolidate storage and manage clinical and nonclinical information across multiple sites and vendor platforms, Kodak said.
HIM includes data protection and remote archiving service options, while RIM can extend clinical information lifecycle management to an entire geographic region, according to the vendor.
