PACS vendor eRad is releasing version 5.2 of its PACS software.
Available at no charge to customers, the new release includes additions such as applying embedded overlays and DICOM presentation state objects from the modality, performance enhancements for very large datasets, and cine-mode temporal synchronization, according to the Greenville, SC-based firm. eRad has also incorporated prior searching on all configured archives and third-party devices, and administrative access to system task queues.
For viewing and reporting, new enhancements include dynamic zoom, an image-viewed indicator, selectable report templates, and configurable microphone and foot-pedal controls, eRad said. The firm has also introduced integration with third-party products, such as Dictaphone's Powerscribe software.
In other eRad news, the company has now configured its PACS network with Voxar 3D software from Barco. In addition to the eRad's own plug-in 3D module, users can now employ Barco's Voxar 3D as well, eRad said.
In new customer news, eRad has installed its PACS software at the Imaging Center at Stone Oak in San Antonio.
