Mercury Computer Systems announced the 1,000th installation of its Visage PACS. The installation of Visage PACS into the existing RIS for Britain's North West Wales NHS Trust was completed in September, and allows all departments of the nine-member hospitals to have online access to medical image data and reports in real time, according to the Chelmsford, MA-based company.
The company also announced installations of its Visage CS Thin Client/Server package for advanced volume rendering and 3D visualization at Baltimore VA Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Maryland School of Medicine, as well as an unnamed internationally recognized medical research facility.
