SunGard launches secure archiving service

SunGard Availability Services has introduced its study management service, Service for Medical Images (SMI), at the 2005 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

SMI is designed to store and access digital radiological images from a secure SunGard archive, and provide on-demand online access to a highly secure, centralized SunGard storage facility through a high-speed Internet link, according to the New Hope, PA, firm.
