Eastman Kodak's Health Group has been awarded a multimillion-dollar PACS and information management systems (IMS) contract from National Services Scotland (NSS).
The transaction is the largest-ever PACS and IMS deal in the Rochester, NY, company's history, and positions Kodak as the leading supplier in the NSS-led Scotland National PACS e-health project to create a platform to acquire, store, retrieve, and display digital patient images within and between clinical sites across Scotland.
Kodak will deploy its CareStream PACS to 39 hospitals across the country and connect to an additional 67 satellite centers with x-ray departments, which handle an estimated 3.2 million exams annually.
