Healthcare IT firm McKesson has signed an exclusive agreement to supply its Horizon Medical Imaging PACS network to nonprofit healthcare system Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI).
Under the eight-year sole-source deal, Denver-based CHI plans to deploy the PACS technology at selected hospitals in six states in 2006, according to McKesson of Atlanta. Following evaluation and review, the technology will be the sole-source implementation for radiology image management across the 19-state system, McKesson said.
