(Booth 1509) Candelis will discuss enhancements to its iMed-Stor 300 archive appliance in its booth this year at the RSNA show.
In new developments, Candelis will now offer iMed-Stor 300 with both AIT3EX and AIT 5 tape drives. The drives are fully integrated into the iMed-Stor tower chassis, according to the Irvine, CA-based firm. In addition, the new iMed-Stor ILM software module provides for data backup in compliance with HIPAA requirements.
iMed-Stor 300 is a DICOM-compliant archive appliance designed to provide image management for standalone imaging operations, including private practices, hospital departments, imaging centers, and multiphysician clinics using a single imaging modality. It can receive studies from a number of different imaging modalities and work seamlessly with any PACS, according to Candelis.
An optional Web-based DICOM viewer allows for diagnostic reading from any location with a secure Internet connection. Candelis first debuted iMed-Stor 300 at the 2008 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) conference.
iMed-Stor 300 is available at a retail price of $3,999 with RAID 5 archiving and 1-TB capacity; additional capacity configurations are also available. The Web-based DICOM viewer has a retail price of $999.
