Imaging informatics firm Viztek has released an upgrade for its Opal-Ortho PACS for orthopedic practices.
The software offers a single appliance for acquiring computed and digital radiography studies and managing all PACS operations. It contains an archive with a capacity of 100,000 imaging studies.
Viztek said that the software's digital templating features have been upgraded and now provide users with immediate calculations to help them create more precise surgical plans. In addition, a new automatic learning protocol actively learns a physician's system usage patterns and allows users to perform key functions with fewer mouse clicks and drag-and-drop functions.
The upgraded system can also integrate mobile devices, including iPad tablets and those using an Android operating system.
