Siemens Healthcare is demonstrating a variety of new technologies and enhancements to its imaging informatics software at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting in Orlando, FL.
A major highlight for the company is its syngo Workflow Cloud, a cloud-based application for departmental scheduling and report delivery. Siemens can now host its syngo Workflow RIS software from its private Healthcare Computing Center, helping customers better predict costs and reduce capital expenditures. The first installation has been made at Chester County Hospital and Health System in Chester, PA.
In addition to the private cloud deployment option, the latest version of syngo Workflow, VA32A, also features a new technologist reporting portal, along with enhancements to syngo Portal Radiologist and syngo Voice.
Syngo Portal Radiologist now provides advanced academic workflow support with resident workflow and advanced procedure protocoling capabilities. Syngo Portal Technologist has a new Web-based application for radiologic technologists, allowing them to track patients; add, revise, and cancel procedures; and organize workload through worklists and monitors.
Siemens has also enhanced its advanced visualization, PACS, and cardiovascular information system (CVIS) products. The latest version, VA11, of the company's syngo.via advanced visualization software expands the number of clinical applications available and provides broader multimodality support. It also provides workflows that can be tailored to numerous medical indications by integrating disease-specific applications.
The new version of syngo.plaza, Siemens' software for 2D, 3D, and 4D image review, is also on display. Version VA20D features increased loading performance and support of central application management to reduce complexity and costs.
In the cardiology realm, syngo Dynamics now sports a Dynamics Mobile application that allows cardiovascular imaging specialists to extend access to image and report review beyond the workstation to Apple devices such as iPads and iPhones.
