PACS software developer DR Systems' eMix image sharing venture has released a new version of its Instant Sender cloud-based medical image exchange package.
Version 2.0 of eMix Instant Sender features a new capability that allows users to quickly and confidentially deliver medical imaging exams, reports, and other information to any recipient online, according to the firm.
The package does not require setup, registration, or a contract, and it now includes the following:
- Viewing of images and information by the recipient using a viewer or routing to a PACS
- A more convenient means to immediately provide a second opinion or consulting service to other providers
The service has eight layers of security: a physically secure data center, network access security, member verification, user authentication, SSL 3.0/TLS 1.0 encryption data transmission, data redundancy and retention, auditing, and new recipient confirmation, DR Systems said.
