Printing firm and software developer Lexmark International has debuted several new software packages and services, including its Healthcare Content Management (HCM) Viewer.
A zero-footprint, web-based viewer, HCM Viewer is designed to provide clinicians with access to all patient images and enterprise content management information in a single viewing experience, according to the vendor. It connects documents, medical imaging, and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing (XDS) content with patient record systems, Lexmark said.
Lexmark has also unveiled MDR Video-Touch, a video capture device that can acquire still images as well as high-resolution video clips in various formats from multiple sources. MDR Video-Touch can then transmit this content to nearly any PACS, vendor-neutral archive, or patient record as DICOM objects or as native content to a cross-document system registry or repository, Lexmark said.
In addition, Lexmark has introduced Video and Image Enablement Workflow for Epic, a bundled offering of software and services for customers of electronic health record (EHR) software developer Epic Systems. This portfolio aims to provide access to images that aren't often accessible from EHR systems or PACS, focusing on specialties such as emergency medicine, surgery, wound care, dermatology, ophthalmology, and gastroenterology, Lexmark said.
