Image management firm Digisonics has added browser capabilities and other new features to its WebView application.
The update allows clinicians to use WebView to view cardiovascular patient images and reports from any browser with HTML5 capabilities, including those for PCs, Macs, and tablets. The viewing device does not install applications or plugins and cannot download patient health information to meet security requirements, Digisonics noted.
Other WebView features include the following:
- Report editing with e-signature capabilities
- Same automated report distribution processes as local workstations
- Integration with electronic medical records for direct access to patient images and reports
