Image management firm Digisonics said it's offering its remote reading software at no cost to its customers to help address the COVID-19 pandemic.
The software enables providers to read imaging studies from any location that has an internet connection. This remote capability can reduce providers' time at a hospital or office, helping to prevent or reduce exposure to COVID-19, according to the company.
Digisonics noted it has also updated its billing application to include new codes for COVID-19. In addition, the firm said it has added support for new study types, indications, and report templates. What's more, the software can track imaging volume and turnaround times for all procedures and for patients with COVID-19, according to the vendor.
