One of the more remarkable stories at this year's RSNA meeting in Chicago was the rapid proliferation of computer-aided detection technology. Dozens of vendors showcased CAD software for a variety of applications, from mammography to lung CT to coronary calcium scoring.
One firm in this new wave of CAD companies has actually been riding the surf for some time. Riverain Medical made its RSNA debut as the new incarnation of Deus Technologies, which first launched its CAD software for radiography-based lung applications several years ago.
